MBTech team has successfully completed the development of the MQTT_MBT2 library for the Codesys 3.5 software package. The library is designed to exchange signals&commands using the MQTT protocol with a broker server. MQTT_MBT2 contains an implementation of a client that supports the MQTT protocol version 3.1.1. The client can interact with the broker in the "no encryption" mode, as well as in the mode using the TLS encryption protocol. Now this library is available on the Macon and Pluto controllers.

The MQTT_MBT2 library is already built into the target file (delivery) for our controllers and allows working in two IEC_61131 languages: ST and FBD.

Thus, PLC Macon and PLC Pluton now have the ability to use the MQTT client. The developed library is not the only one of its kind, open libraries have long been known, so on the Codesys website it is possible to purchase the MQTT library. But our MQTT_MBT2 library has a number of serious advantages:

1. The library is developed and tested specifically for MBTech logical controllers, which ensures reliable operation of the hardware and software of the supplied equipment.

2. The library supports work with the broker using TLS, which ensures a high level of security.

3. A functional unit has been developed for convenient usage in FBD.

In conclusion, it is important to note that the use of the developed library allows application of PLC Macon and PLC Pluton for the digitalization of production and process lines. Thanks to MQTT_MBT2, it is possible to implement IoT (Internet of Things), which is widespread in for household systems such as "Smart Home", due to the use of open libraries and also IIoT (industrial Internet of Things) which provides adequate reliability and protection of the system.
